went to the eye doctor for contacts today since my vision has been waning and there's no way I'm wearing glasses

Went through the exam and then bought the two-week disposable kind of contacts. I never thought they'd be this much of a bitch to put in and out, but I can actually see well now.

Anyone else have experience wearing contacts?

I really wanted to get the kind where you throw them out every day instead of every two weeks, but they were like $800 for a year supply.

Because I'm not letting something sit in my eyes for hours on end with the possibility (albeit small) chance of getting stuck. And you've seen me, I'd look retarded with glasses.

Also I don't have a phobia of lasers like everyone seems to have. With all the conclusive evidence and support from people who've had the procedures done to them, it's baffling how people still support the notion that laser eye surgery is like the Death Star of vision procedures.

I'd love to get laser eye surgery, but it's so expensive and my insurance wouldn't cover any of it. Contacts are an acceptable alternative.

yeah theyre pricey but i just want to pull them off my eyes and be done with them when im tired and want to sleep

Tried them, but I'm pretty much blind, so they were uncomfortably thick. I'll ditch the glasses when laser surgery progresses a bit more.
