To be more precise it means to use something badly, or for bad purpose, which you kind of are.

Most of the highs that you need are something that can be satisfied in other ways.

Stress? Stop the stress. Smoking is one way.

Did you miss my post? I'll smoke a cig every two weeks or so, especially when I have some big test or essay due. I smoke weed almost every day, just for fun.

Well, smoke in general is never good for your lungs. But even marijuana smoke doesn't contain nearly as many carcinogens and tar as other types of smoke. I was initially referring to the THC itself, though. Like you said, there are ways to ingest the chemical and get high without actually smoking the plant matter.
