Computer issues, pls help.

So I've tried my hand at putting together my own computer.

I've gotten all the parts, they're not excellent but they're good enough for what I can afford right now. I pieced the computer together, made sure to be careful and connected everything up according to the manuals and some online help when I wasn't sure.
Parts
Western Digital Blue HDD
AMD Athlon X4 quad core
Crucial Ballistix 16GB DDR3 (x2)
Gigabyte GA Motherboard
Seasonic S12-2 PSU

When I power it up, the lights come on, fans spin and the keyboard lights like caps lock etc all light up.
But nothing appears on my screen.
I've tried VGA and DVI inputs, I'm going to try HDMI shortly.

It's as if I'm not even turning the PC on and I'm stumped. Taking everything apart and putting it all back together did nothing, so it doesn't seem like I've missed a cable or inserted one into the wrong place.
Googling and asking on another forum hasn't done anything for me, I'm going to contact the motherboard suppliers if nothing comes from this thread, since I'm pretty sure that's where the problem lies.


Help me Sep7, you're my only hope.

Maybe the monitor is faulty?
I dunno man monitors are basically plug in and play so it's hard to distinguish the fault

How long do you wait for something to appear? My first run took up to a full 90 seconds.

Minutes, I haven't kept track of things like that, but I don't just press the power button and say "it's not working, off you go".

Are you trying to connect straight to the GPU or are you trying the Mobo onboard video slot? You should try the Mobo first with the GPU out of the case then install the GPU after you get some sort of reaction on the monitor.

I've tried with the GPU in and out, still nothing.

There's literally no reaction, I haven't gotten to see the BIOS.

Do you have your graphic card connected to power.?

Is your graphics card in all the way?

Does your monitor have different input? (HDMI 1 ,HDMI 2 , Regular.... ports) 

Can you make your monitor search for imput?

I'm using the cables supplied with the parts and the PSU should be perfect.

I actually had the same issue a while back when I was doing an upgrade. Let me rack my brain and see if I can remember what I did to resolve the issue.

For now I'd recommend that you try a different monitor and see if it displays. This way you can either rule out or confirm that the one you're currently using is faulty.

100% sure it's not the monitors.

I'd try reconnecting all of the cords coming from your PSU as well. I know on mine I've got one that really refuses to get a solid connection so it's a pain in the ass to get everything up and running again when I need to open it up for routine maintenance or upgrades.

Another thing I just thought of is to check the PSU for a voltage switch. It could be that it's not on the right setting. It could be on America when you need it to be on EU.

Hmm, I didn't notice anything like that, I'll check.

The PSU comes as is, no region adjusting required.
