I was laying in bed last night, with a bunch of anxiety, trying to figure out what your inner consciousness actually is. Because like, these words that I'm saying right now, they're part of your inner voice. You listen to that voice and observe it, but it's so strange. You can observe it, you can just listen to it's wordless babble inside of your own mind and not put it into words. It will just ramble on and on, and then immediately when you choose to engage it, it starts speaking as I am right now, as if it were you. It is what's speaking right now. But I observe it, my own consciousness, me, I am the one speaking right now, but I only observe it. It's so strange. I want to be clear though, that when I say, "my inner voice", I don't mean that I'm hearing a voice that isn't mean, I mean it is me, but I can observe it as if it weren't.

Or... people who are bilingual do they think in their natural tongue or do they think in the language of the culture they're living in. I.e: a Spanish person moves to America and learns perfect English.

Idk I don't think you actually think in a language, I think your inner voice only has language once you engage it and put words to it, because you may notice when your mind won't quiet down, that same inner voice which is responsible for everything you say, it still goes on and babbles without any words attached to it.

And idk if blind people dream in color, we can't talk about that because it's not possible to.

I know this dude from Ghana, he thinks in his clicky clicky language and translates in real time to British English when he talks.

Well there is definitely like a chemical language that we don't think about like the muscle memory I have for typing without looking, or breathing, or blinking, or swallowing your own saliva.

I know the voice in my head sounds different from my actual voice, and emotions are chemical reactions within your brain.

I think the "voice" is just potential abstract concepts floating around in your neurons that could possibly be emulated in speech, but it is never refined and influenced by the other areas of your brain and then fully realized.

I see consciousness as simple awareness in its most basic form. The observation of existence.

Perception through the senses, cognition, emotion. . . these are all products of the ego which is interdependent with mind and body.

I believe it's entirely possible to quiet the ego to the point that your awareness becomes empty and you are without identity in that instance.

Lobotomy?

I don't know what a lobotomy does to a person truly because I haven't experienced it. Maybe they're living in a fairy tale land inside their mind. Who knows?

A lobotomized person doesn't come back to convey their experience like a person practicing meditation or someone who has experienced ego death can.
