If coffee isn't fair-trade, don't buy it. You're drinking the sweat and tears of underpaid foreigners.

Link of other things they do http://www.starbucks.com/responsibility/community/farmer-support Also, OP you sound like you're a fellow barista.
Oh, and that pumpkin spice? They won't say what is used to make it, because the chemical used in it has nothing to do with pumpkins and is a carcinogen that causes headaches when consumed to excess (which is why they don't sell it year round, despite it being so popular).
The world is full of horrible people but I still find those who say things like 'you call this coffee?' to be the most irritating. I don't know how hipsters decided that the pursuit of 'real coffee' should be the metaphysical quest of our time. Yeah, you know what? I call this coffee because my life isn't a vacuous pursuit of an idealised hot beverage to set me apart from the crowds. After the revolution we will have only one kind of medicore coffee, everyone will be forced to drink it in a gesture of universal solidarity

Removed the dye (which one blogger falsely labeled a carcinogen) and added pumpkin puree.
