I understand this is different than the original, but I really wish they had done this after infinity war, didn't make it a captain America title, and included more characters.
I feel like this will be a dissapointment.

I don't understand why they wouldn't wait till more movies came out before doing this.
The inhumans, and doctor strange are both coming out before infinity war. They should've finished introducing all of their new characters before trying to do this.
The amount of heroes involved in the civil war are part of what made it so great.
But all this is is an MLG game of slayer on ascension. Where as the comic was a warzone crack baby clusterfuck involving a ton of people.

Such a dissapointment.

Avengers 2 was entertaining to watch but the writing didn't quite hold up this time around. I felt like they rewrote Tony because that's what they needed him to be.

Its not, its owned by fox. Wouldn't be surprised if that changes given how fox has failed to make a successful f4 movie to this day.

Exactly, like I said this should have occurred after infinity war or right before it after all the new characters had officially had movies/been brought into movies. This is nothing but a rushed decision made by marvel to compete with dawn of justice, which at this point I believe will do better than civil war.

They should've waited till strange, the inhumans, and all of the TV show guys were properly brought into the MCU with everyone else.

I knew it'd at least be decent, Marvel has their summer blockbuster formula down pat.

Ugh, you know, what I probably should have said from the start (but didn't find the words for it until just now) is that the story hit a few bumps in Avengers 2--I was particularly disappointed with Tony being so utterly dense. I feel like he'll eventually have some 'character arc' like Batman did in TDKR where he has the same journey from a previous film because the writers are actually out of ideas.

Avengers 2 was fun to watch but it had a serious case of fridge logic. That's what I'm most worried about happening again in Civil War, or future MCU films.

No, tony asked them to join his side, but they stayed neutral. Mutants didn't want involvement, because sentinels monitored them 24/7 and their population had dropped to 100.
The new warriors sparked the events leading to the super hero registration act. Which the civil war was fought over.

Nope, Failtastic Four's film rights are owned by Fox--if anything, it could have been part of the X-Men universe, because that's also owned by Fox. But F4 flopped so hard that Marvel just might wrangle the rights back like they did to Sony with Spiderman.

IIRC in Avengers 2, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch were 'miracles' or something of the like. Marvel had to dance around it.
