You have a few options when dealing with a relationship you wanted to see succeed.

-rebound
-wait until you're ready to move on
-don't take no for an answer.

I'm always an advocate for the latter if you're hung up on someone, at least be open about your feelings. Do something big and win her over my guy, you got this.

Fast rebounds can help you get over a relationship pretty quickly too, but it's kinda destructive and I don't wanna see people do that to themselves. Especially if there's a chance the other partner might still hold something for you.

Passively waiting to get over it while leaving her alone just doesn't work. You'll eventually try and come back anyway only this time you'll try something after she's already in another committed relationship. You may think you're being nice by not making things difficult for now but fuck that mentality. It doesn't gain you shit and it's always worth the gamble.

I doubt I'd ever try and come back anyway because there's no contact
