Like with facebook, they do this thing called deactivation that is basically no different than signing in. To find the actual profile deletion steps, you have to jump through a bunch of hoops, delete the account, and then stay away from any sites that connect with facebook for two weeks because if your account syncs with the site, the deletion process stops.
