YouTube realised that giving random ass people on the internet the ability to mass flag and take down videos wasn’t the smartest idea.

Only good concept in YouTube heroes was getting points for adding captions to a video to incentivise community activity,

Remember when instead of fixing the "Reply Girls" spam issue with something like letting the creator chose or approve what video replies got shown, they just deleted the whole function?

They done this to annotations before with same justification too
well, part of it too was that annotations don't show up for videos on mobile devices, and the majority of people watch youtube videos on their phones now

why they couldn't have just made them work instead, i have no idea
