I managed to snag him one at msrp for his birthday, but now I have to drive 6hrs to pick it up from Best Buy in Memphis.

I'm grateful to have been able to get one at all, but seriously, fuck scalpers.

No, they make you pick it up in store to discourage scalpers.

I have to pick it up on Wednesday, so it would cost more to fly. It would also take just as long, if not longer because all the flights have layovers in DFW.

I don't know about that, we like each other well enough and have been living together for about a year, but two people don't really need to be head over heels in love with each other to do nice things for one another.
