My parents have recently decided to force Me to get a job by cutting me off of any type of allowance except for gas and phone

So now I am a very broke migga. Had to scavenge $8 so I could afford Denny's with friends tonight smh

gonna get a job asap. My friend a girlfriend can get me one that pays 12.50 an hour but it's in a ghetto area and I don't wanna deal with that. Gonna see if someone can hook it up at Costco (15/hour)

I've been applying for jobs left and right lately, I'm up to 310 applications since November 2013, 3 interviews, 1 person actually give me (unhelpful) feedback after a follow-up, and 0 successful applications. I'm astonished at how tough the competition is for an entry level job. Over 570 applicants for a casual Retail assistant, and people with 8+ years of retail experience, who should really be working a well paying job in the city with qualifications like that are snapping up all of the opportunities. I wanted to start putting some significant money into a savings account to get an early start on House/Car money, but I guess that'll be on hold for at least 5 years. I've been out drinking with friends maybe 8 times in the past 2 years, so I can't even afford to have friends at the moment. Sucks fam.

I like the company and I certainly want to stay with it, but I really don't enjoy my current position. There's no room for advancement and I work with old people that take their job for granted and treat guests like hog shit. Really breaks your will, but I have and had previous leaders who are good role models and that gave me an ideal to strive for on my trip up the company ladder. I just need more time and experience.
