Which film do you think will be better? Which one are you looking forward to more?

I'm leaning more towards BvS. I dunno, Batfleck just feels right. I hope Civil War will be good too though.

Both are looking pretty darn bad.

Marvel has a more established cinematic universe and I've enjoyed most of the films. Whereas I've only got Man of Steel to go off for BvS. That said, BvS has had more trailers. But both do look fantastic.

BvS

Depends on whether DoJ is a hit or a miss. It has more to work with than Civil War, but it also has more to screw up.

The DCCU characters aren't established, so I'd find it harder to care about what happens, while I have some investment in the MCU characters.

I'd give it to Civil War at the moment, but I'm excited for both.

Civil War will be more interesting to me.

BvS will be more amusing because they have to establish SEVERAL new characters in one movie:  Wonder Woman, Batfleck, Jesse Eisenberg, and apparently Doomsday, Aquaman, and Cyborg will have an appearance of some sort in the movie.  That's a lot of characters to develop for one film.

They're trying to do in one movie what Marvel did through roughly a dozen. It isn't going to work. They can still establish a larger universe, but it isn't going to rival Marvel's.

the thing is, those "dozen movies" were mostly mediocre with no real conflicts that existed purely to show off their massive VFX budgets and introduce a character or an infinity stone. MCU rakes in money because those kinds of movies appeal to children and morons. batman v superman, if done right, can easily set up the alliance between the Big 3, introduce some of the ancillary heroes properly while giving us something to look forward to, and still give us a meaningful conflict. if the title is anything to go by, the conflict between bats and supes is going to be more ideological than physical (even though they're bound to get into a few fights)- note the difference between Batman v. Superman (as in a court of law) and Batman vs Superman. that sort of thing opens up a lot of doors for other heroes and even civilians like lex luthor to give their opinions on the matter and affect the decisions made by the Big 3.

Even though Civil War actually looks decent and doesn't seem to be made for the purpose of selling lunchboxes

I feel like the Avengers movies just aren't serious enough. They joke around a ton and it kind of loses it's gritty feel. Especially in Age of Ultron, because the main villain is just overly sarcastic the whole time.

I'm giving it to Batman v Superman because it won't be half comedy half action.
