Uh I dunno, I guess when halfway through last year while I was on holiday with some friends at the time. Had a falling out with a couple of them, not just because of how they behaved then, but like a final straw type thing. So I packed my stuff and left in the morning before any of them woke up, bought a plane ticket on the train ride to the airport to get home.

It's pretty great. The second episode is kinda weird though, has some stuff I don't like.

Well I played Star Fox 64 when I was a kid and enjoyed the game. Then played each new game as they came out, kinda grew up with the series. So I really became invested in the characters. Also the weird thing about Smash Bros is it makes people want to play the games that their character is from.

Why are you so interested in the culture of the 80s/90s?

The people of the time period had a personal honesty to them that we don't have today - if you were weird, you had a good reason to be. Today, its sort of "cool" to be unique, and often times, people are just different for its own sake. It's less genuine.

The 80's also marked a cultural change in art, mostly music and film. The self-reflection of what I would consider the "good" music of the era was carried into the mainstream during the 90's, and evolved into the introspection that decade was known for. It lent itself to every genre, too, creating something for everyone.

The time period is also just far enough back to showcase a time where our society had a larger attention span, but not too far back that we can't relate to the trials and quotidian issues of the average person. A child today could very easily watch Back to the Future and understand the small issues Marty faces throughout the story. Something later than that might feel a bit foreign.

A very difficult question considering how harshly it punished Germany. I guess if they received more aid and the terms of the treaty were renegotiated after some time it could have prevented WW2.
