If you're married and haven't used a term of endearment yet, why did you get married?
Similarly, if you're married you wouldn't get weirded out by your partner calling you honey in the first place...

My parents have been married for 8 years and they just call each other by their name, albeit the shortened version.My Step-Dad calls my Mum "duck" sometimes, but that isn't a marriage/relashionship thing.
