Are you a Country or a City Person?

Do you find yourself loving the peace and quiet of living secluded from the populated areas? Or do you just love the constant motion of a City, with everything around you ready to go?

What do you see yourself as and why not the other?

I am a country person. I like my peace and quiet and making things myself. I like growing my food, raising cattle and getting fresh eggs from the chickens and even raise meat chickens for eating... Oh and also hunting in my own back yard for Deer, Rabbits, Wild Hogs, Squirrel, Ducks, Geese, Doves, etc. Its nice to have a place all to yourself without worrying about what the people next to you think. If I feel like going out back and shooting my guns, I can do that without the threat of cops.

I love NYC, but I also love the small town I live it, because it is surrounded by nature.

Rural towns are nice.
Cities can be cool to visit but I'd hate living in one.

I suppose I'm a country person then. I can't stand the city. Like... I want an escape where it's nice and quiet.

I'd love to live in a more rural area. Being in Metro Phoenix, it's pretty bad, especially with stargazing with a telescope. Light pollution takes away the enjoyment from it.

i like an in-between. cities are horrible tbh, too many people, too much traffic however the countryside is also too quiet and lifeless for my liking.

Definitely city. Being out in the sticks is boring. I want to be able to go to a bar, concert, movie, sporting event, etc, pretty much any day of the week.

But I am keen on Seattle.
But you get tired of living in the middle of nowhere, too, like here in Pa.
I guess I really don't care where I'm at, as long as I feel like it's good enough.

I live in a town of about 25,000 people but there's nothing here and nothing to do.

I'd rather live in a big city.

I call myself "a city guy, who got lost in the woods".

I live on the outskirts of a town, but not completely out there. We aren't on dirt roads or anything, just a decent drive from anything in town. Even further is the beach.

I enjoy having the peace and quiet of my suburb, but I went to NYC for a trip and it was very different. The huge buildings, stores, busy streets. I think living on my beach would be an ideal mix of both, because its the busiest area out here(it has condos that block the view of the beach. stupid for doing that, but you can't change it). Our condos are the tallest buildings we have out here, all lined across the beach.

Country boy here.

Since moving to a "City" (As many wouldn't see Cardiff as a true one with only ~300,000 people) I find it odd how people can live with a constant din of traffic in the background, back gardens being tiny with little (if any) greenery, and the closest sign of wildlife being pigeons and seagulls pecking through dustbins for food.

But on the otherhand, I love the internet connection speeds above 10Mb/s, the proximity of any major restaurant/coffee/junkfood chain (the nearest one for me in the middle of nowhere is...oh, an hour away...) and the availability of public transport, as well as the cheaper and better nightclubs and alcohol in a city.

I've lived in rural towns and big cities. Both can be shitty or great.
