As a rule, there are two things you don't price hunt on: tattoos and graphic tablets. I'd recommend a Wacom brand tablet, check in the range of 40£ - 100£.
My tablet would basically act as a cursor if you held it over the pad and only "clicked" if you touched it.

Alternating between the mouse/keyboard and tablet to do everything is really cumbersome.Holding your pen over the tablet should be like mousing on a tracpad.
