Claymore is okay, but it has a cliffhanger ending so people go read the manga.
Lost Voices is good film in the style of Ghibli.
I've only started watching Mushi, but it's very interesting and might be odd enough to grab your attention.
Baccano! is a must watch for anyone who watches anime.

Ele's tastes seem more aligned to older, less fan service filled anime so I went with that.

Kino's Journey focuses around a girl who travels from city to city, each city focusing around some idea that is brought forth, and Kino usually goes and deals with an issue within the city, its episodic so each ep covers one city. Its a nice anime, with interesting ideas within each city.

I was for a time, but I gave up the endeavor as soon as the fillers became too frequent. I can't remember for the life of me where I had stopped watching, but I think it dealt with some trio 100 or so episodes in.

This is excellent, I stopped reading it because at the rate I was, I would've caught up quickly.

I don't mind the other guys... But I want to see him and Zahard fight, if that'll happen.

Him fighting Zahard is too far in the future, honestly by the time you catch up you will notice how disproportionate they are in strength and how far Baam has to go. Also Baam comes back if you are talking about the beginning of Season 2. But this time with a different name and early on. Fuck also the irregular they meet is like a beast and you finally understand why Baam is such a big deal, also alot of fans discussing shit so there is alot to check out.

I feel like the story is getting darker and more bloodier as the chapterrs go by. And more awesome.
