I watch a lot with the intention of getting spooked.Always finish the movie disappointed. They're not even remotely entertaining.I've concluded that horror movies as a genre are objectively shit.If you disagree, please recommend.
I think horror films have gotten a shitty rep by stupid films like Paranormal Activity. Some great ones I can think off the top of my head are Alien and The Shining

That kind of horror I can enjoy. Just not modern shitty jumpscare horror.

It's one of my favorite movies.

I'll watch an occasional scary movie, but jump scares and gross-outs aren't my thing. That said, stuff like Final Destination, Evil Dead, Alien, or Cabin in the Woods is fine with me.

Not my scene fam.But see, what I'm saying is, this is not what horror movies are about. Most aren't scary, and most horror fans do not watch them just to be scared. Evil Dead 2 is a comedy. You don't watch it to be scared.

Not a fan of scaring myself either. Thrillers are where it's at.
