Anyone else tired of cinematic shared universes?

Ever since Marvel did it every studio seems to want to jump on board. Before long every movie will be tied into a seemingly endless cycle of sequels.

It makes sense for a company, say DC, to do it (even though I don't think they're even doing a shared universe, they just have many TV programs and movies set around different universes, which could confuse the casual audience.) Otherwise, I'm not too fond of the bandwagon myself.

Dreams of making an expansive movie universe tend to come with an inability to make any actual good movies (Amazing Spider-Man 2, Fan4stic, Dracula Untold, etc) which cause these plans to implode. The only ones that I would expect to catch on would be Star Wars, DC, and the continuation of Marvel due to guaranteed hundreds of millions for each installment. And if the movies are generally pretty decent then there's literally no reason to bitch.

Honestly, thats bound to happen. You see enough repeats of one thing and you just get bored and tired of it.
But.. They always manage to put something really refreshing and its a lot of fun. GotG and Captain America 2 are examples of it.

Man of Steel was the first entry to the DC shared movie universe, Batman Vs Superman and Suicide Squad are the next two entries to the list.

I lost most of my hope for the MCU after Age of Ultron.

The formula is getting stale, but GotG was the best one because it was unique and hilarious.

Only one of those is a cinematic universe. The other ones aren't -- yet.

And Star Wars isn't a cinematic universe, it's a universe. Unlike Marvel, that is just cinematic, they have comics and video games to accompany them.

I don't see an issue with exploring the same universe through different characters and stuff as long as it stays interesting, which Marvel has done so I'm not complaining.
