Of course. They have to be achievable. But, they have to be big enough to get excited over.

Example: Al Baghdadi and I are setting a goal to go to Hawaii in July. We don't have tge funds yet, but we know we can. It gives us a reason to work a little harder.

Thought about going to Europe at some point during the summer, but the terrorist attacks have made me reconsider.

They've not been taught how to be happy. And they've not been shown or given the means to pursue happiness. From the get-go, all you're instilled with is "Get money, Pay for things." And your faith is directed towards the system which is the main provider of things that make people happy, when they can purchase them of course. That's the illusion, anyway.

But it's been like that with every previous generation before yours and mine. Every generation had their big shitstorm to deal with. Every generation had their depressing things to look at. For every generation, as society changed, it was considered a downwards spiral.

And yet we're still here. All those generations moping about the end of a good society or a decent world, and lo and behold, we're still here.

As for travelling, you know it's not as impossible as they make it seem. People seem to think that you need an express amount of money to travel. All you need is a backpack, your feet, and a passport. It's more dangerous today than it was a few decades ago. But it's still easily possible.

Deci, you've been lied to. Our bullshit nanny society has taught you that the world is a dangerous place and the only safe and fulfilling path is to get a bullshit dead end job that contributes and goes nowhere.

There's a world right outside your door that obeys no rules other than those you set. Everyone shits on your generation for being entitled while denying you what you are truly entitled to. Your life is truly your own and you can really make it what you will.

The whole point of this existence is to learn and to love. To live. You have no rules, no right way or wrong way to live.  It's terrifying at first, I understand that. But your life is out there. In the tall grass. In those places you can't see, where you can be hurt.

Everyone faces their last moments alone. Whether you are surrounded by loved ones or by strangers. You make that final journey all by yourself. It's up to you if it's filled with regret or excitement.

If I died tomorrow, you know my only regret? That I wouldn't be there to tell my boys this. So, let me tell you:

Your future is unwritten. The monotony of your existence is your own creation. You only need one moment of courage to break the chains and be who you really are.

If you want to travel, then work for that. If you want to make a game, go and do it. If you want that moment of everyone cheering your name cause you killed your solo, then make it your life's goal.

Live like you'll die tomorrow.

This is quite possibly the best point in my life thus far. It's a bit frustrating, though.
