and miyazaki is the guy that said anime is trash, because of otaku culture

as in, the people on this website are the reason why miyazaki hates the anime industry

He dislikes how there's too many otaku's in the industry animating. Not really people who watch anime.

Well yeah, you kind of were since you specifically mentioned shared elements and then proceeded to pull out elements that aren't shared by all mediums when it was pointed out that in regards to what you mentioned those things can be found across almost all forms of media and aren't exclusive to one or the other.

I never said anime was unique in that department. I'm saying that you can't use the fact that you can't get anything in anime that you can't get anywhere else in that department isn't a negative because the reverse is also true. We're speaking objectively here on shared elements. Not personal opinions.

He didn't actually say that....

That's an edit. He was talking about airplanes and some shit and how they influenced his designs. What Miyazaki has said however is that he thinks that modern animators don't focus enough on trying to imitate real people in their animation and he doesn't like it.

Miyazaki is also a retired and cranky old man who's butthurt that Kaguya was shit and the Japanese government wanted their money back though. So it could just be sour grapes.
