It's silly to judge the quality and worth of something based on its level of interactivity when comparing an interactive form of media and a non interactive form of media.

What you should instead be comparing them on are things that they have in common, such as the story, theme, message, writing, et cetera.

But that's not MY point. I'm asking what anime has that other forms of media do not. Books, movies, and anime all have stories, themes, messages, and writing.

Like unique subjects over all? For example mecha.

Theres many that i dont even know of.

And I can get that by watching fucking Transformers. Or maybe Pacific Rim.

And I've said that there really isn't, but there isn't anything that other forms of media have that anime doesn't have either in that department. Which doesn't really make it a negative since it's just another medium to convey a story or message through.

Some people prefer one type of medium other another. For example I absolutely hate modern art, I think it's trash. That doesn't mean that it's objectively shit and there's no reason for anybody to enjoy it though. Nor does the fact that there's nothing in modern art that I can't get out of any other form of art in the art gallery necessarily mean that modern art is worse than say a collection of nice paintings or drawings.

No one in here is saying you have to like anime. It's absolutely fine if you hate it, there are lots of people who hate it. Just like there are lots of people who hate video games and books.

Video games have interactivity.
Books don't have a shitty cartoon for me to stare at.
Movies have real people that I can actually relate with.
