Nah the community is less intellgient than Reddit - and that's saying something. It gets the leftover memes from reddit and ocassionaly 4chán and they circle-jerk either about it for 20 hours before moving onto the next fad.

The only reason to publish is if you are super proud of the picture and want to let a few randomers on imgur see it as well as the actual intended site.
