As of right now, I'm simply trying to build myself at work so that I can transfer from Fantasyland to the Emporium. It'd be the same job but the Emporium is much bigger and if I can not only make it there, but also last for at least six months, I can pretty much go anywhere up I want in the company. The Emporium is often called a rotating door since people are constantly getting promotions and special assignments there and new people keep coming in, I want to use that as a way to prepare for a Leadership/Manager position.

Well, I spent the last year traveling the country and training under some really talented chefs. I had been reading some econ and ethics books along with some political ones, until my glasses were destroyed while I was spending some time in the Rockies. Got some new skis and unfortunately had to cancel my March work trip to Colorado so never really got to break them in. And I've been embroiled in a drawn out battle over some of my possessions with my mother, including my recipe book and some key work things, since she got arrested for assaulting me at the beginning of April.

In the last year I think I've made and spent more money than I have in my entire life. Mainly not in super great shape financially rn because I decided to take some time off in February and covered it out of savings, and shortly after I returned to work the quarantine started, so I've been living off savings again since mid-march, and frankly I'm gonna be tapped out soon.

But it's definitely been an interesting year.

My 1 month study abroad trip to Freiburg, Germany this summer was cancelled for obvious reasons. I had multiple scholarships for it, too. So there goes any chance of me ever getting to enjoy a month abroad. I'm still taking German classes this summer though.

I guess this gives me a month to paint my 40k backlog in preparation for 9th ed. and the new starter box I guess.

I live out of a truck camper and wander the country. I stop for a while, get a job, make some cash and then hit the road when I'm done with a place. I'm halfways searching for a homestead and looking for a place to settle down as I'd like to fulfill a dream me and my SO had together to build our own house together. I'm also halfways tempted to go on a longer journey and tack down significant friends of mine to visit their respective graves to honour probably the only good years of my life I ever had that they enabled. I got stuck in saskatchewan when they closed borders to travelers outside or in. I don't think I'll be going anywhere as long as covid keeps shit locked down so I got myself two jobs to build up my income a bit before I hit the road again.

I was lucky to be in school and Uni when the last one hit and I graduated at a time when the recovery was picking up speed. Would hate to revert back to where I was in 2015 now. I think its okay until the Cov payments end in September. It will be a big oof.
