So I may have mentioned this long, lost relative of mine (on my mom's side) who is living in Bahrain and with whom we haven't communicated in like.... forever.

So the other day, we finally decided to attempt contacting him, but the phone call instead went to his wife who we had no idea even existed until that day. We explain to her how we're trying to contact said long lost relative, and she tells us that he went to join Da'esh. And, well. This isn't anything which I expected would actually happen. Like, this could be one of the most life-changing things to happen in my life.

So as a result, my family and I will probably leave the country soon because we don't want the NSA stalking us for the rest of our lives.

So AMA me anything since these are my final days of ever being in the US.

I don't know. We're honestly really shocked right now from the news, and we don't really know what to expect from the NSA.

I mean, he is a relative who grew up with my mom for a little bit. So we're worried that she'll get picked up and interrogated.
