What's Your "Love" Definition?

We all have conventions for how we consider love. Today's a pretty fitting day to talk about this stuff, so I'm asking.
And I'll share first, as usual:
Love involves mutual understanding and appreciation of each other, and to some extent, mutual dependability.
This doesn't only extend to romantic relationships, but serves as a definition for familial love and platonic love.

What does your definition rely most heavily upon, dependability, understanding, sex, etc.?

I'm not exactly sure, cuz I'm clingy. And if I cling to someone, it's cuz I really trust them and care for them.
But then clingy turns to being selfish....

In my experience I've been a jealous douchebag when I get selfish. It's part of the reason I willingly close myself off.
I find that when I cling to people most I see potential in compatibility (which I think is rare).
