I know one such spoiler has Shinji confessing his love to EoE Soryu Asuka and despite 4chan eating that up, everywhere else is snuffing the idea completely so obvious bullshit.

Is it worth watching the rebuilds? I only watched the original + The End about two months ago, and I’m still debating on whether or not these are worth it. Seems there’s quite a bit of mixed reception on them?

My answer would be yes, but with a couple asterisks. It really kinda depends on what you liked about Evangelion. What did you like about Evangelion?

Regardless of my personal (and mostly negative) feelings, the Rebuilds are major cultural touchstones that are worth experiencing regardless of their quality, imo—which is to say that I would only check them out for the sake of giving yourself the opportunity to partake in modern discussions about Eva. They are definitely polarizing movies, but they're polarizing in the same way that the Disney Star Wars films are polarizing. As such, it's not really feasible to ask people if they're worth watching, because you're not going to get many unbiased responses (case in point: see above). It's a prime example of a "decide for yourself" kind of situation.

In general, if you find it fun or exciting to be part of burgeoning discourses about pre-eminent media, then there's virtually no sense missing out.

Where was their outrage when the Q camrip released? Or the Ha camrip? I don't know if there was ever one for Jo because I was in seventh grade back then and didn't even know what Eva was at the time. But this is pure narcissism and I'm disappointed by it; they're still making millions at the box office and breaking records for their series, the camrip does nothing.

I'll but the 3.0+1.0 Blu-ray when it drops, but I'm also going to seed the the 1080p rip now out of pure spite.

Evageeks is spreading a rumor pretty hard that Amazon Prime quietly bought the rights to all four films and will stream all four in four to five weeks when Shin Eva will get some actual competition in the box office. However their source is only slightly above the level of "My dad works at Nintendo". Regardless, we should get the DVD/BD release sometime before August.
