Dune Part Two was the undisputed MOTY for me, to no surprise. First movie since Infinity War that actually lived up to the hype and exceeded it. Villeneuve is going to top Nolan as the best modern director at this rate. Dude's on a generational streak.Furiosa was a bit meh for me. I know they had budget limitations but they relied way too heavily on the CGI for it to even come close to the action calibre of Fury Road. Chris Hemsworth stole the show though.Civil War was also enjoyable. Would've liked a bit more exploration into the root cause of the actual war, but it was a generally pretty solid war drama with a sweet action sequence at the end.
Of those I saw in theatres:Madame Web - 3/10Furiosa - 8/10Deadpool & Wolverine - 6/10Megalopolis - ?$%&?£/10Not a 2024 film but I saw The Phantom Menace re-release in theatres and it was a very fun experience - IMO the strongest of the prequels.
