"Only women can be raped"

True story:

A few years ago I got into an argument with my now ex-mother in law. She teaches Woman's Studies at a Viginia University. No, I won't say which.

She maintained that only women can be raped. She had all these sociolical arguments about male power in society, sex roles in gender and how because it's about power and not sex and women not seeking power...

I called and still call bullshit. You see, in a way, I was raped. I broke up with my GF a few years before I met ex-Mrs Charlie. After a couple of months, I got very drunk. Like really drunk and woke up next to her. Yes, we had sex. I wouldn't have wanted to even be in the same room as this crazy bitch, let alone fuck her. She took advantage of me being drunk.

Yet, to my ex in-law, this wasn't rape. Yet, if we reversed the sexes, it would have been. It would have been date rape.

So... Discuss your feelings or experiences on this.

Literally no reasonable person believes this.

Don't know why so many feminazis are so eager to believe it, it actually takes power away from women to imply they can never be the aggressor in a sexual crime.

Fifteen minutes into the act I felt really uncomfortable. I tried getting up and telling her I wanted to leave but she kept pushing me down.

Eventually I threw up and and that got her off of me but not until I'd been forced to have sex with her for twenty or so minutes.

Can't imagine it was very fun for her, rope dick and all.

Feminism at its heart isn't a bad thing, but I guess the loud minority vocal (maybe it's not minority, I don't know) somehow twist it so that all men are evil. The annoying thing is by doing so, they don't realize just how narrow minded and dogmatic they're being.

Something I haven't really told anyone here, but I'll share. Even though I never personally met my ex and our relationship was pretty much on the internet, she told me that if she wanted to, she could have held me down and raped me.

She's a big girl so the reality of that is pretty real. Men can get raped by women just like how women can get raped by men. Its a real thing.

She also believed that having a hard on can be controlled and that if you get a boner by watching a movie with a sex scene in it or approaching another girl that you're a fucking asshole because of it.

Not gonna lie I'm not even sure what I saw in here, she was nuts enough to believe that its okay to cut any man's penis off if they cheat on you. Love can really blind you.

She's a woman's studies professor. A well regarded one at that. Not only does she unironically think this, she teaches it to her students and writes books on it.

I know I never shut up when I talk about this, but people like Emma Watson are people I adore because she speaks out for both genders and both issues they face. Then you have someone like Anita Sarkeesian who do the exact opposite of this and tend to cherry pick and disregard the other gender. While she may bring up some decent points with things, I feel she loses all credibility by the way she shuts down the opposing arguments and her double standards.
