The non-main tags and private groups are useable, but at this point it's going to be too annoying to work around, and I'm definitely not paying just to post.

I semi-regularly use a forum with over 60,000 accounts and about twelve active members

According to their (albeit pretty suspicious) stats, 99% of the active forum community has some time put into Destiny. If that's true, their activity won't change much.

I wouldn't really be surprised. They've spent almost three years now driving away their old community.

Yeah, that's what I'm wondering too. 99% just seems like such a conveniently high number that it's pretty suspicious in my eyes. What counts as an active member? Someone who posts daily? Weekly? Are people who just lurk and spend time online without posting counted? Does it only count public forums or also private groups?

I'm just going to assume it was fabricated, or at least heavily exaggerated either way for convenience, unless some screenshot graphing the Activity of accounts linked to Destiny vs. Non-linked ones gets posted. If they were able to keep track of post count on that sort of thing, then I'd like to see an explanation to the site's state over the past (nearly) 3 years, as the site has disabled post count tracking, rendering add-ons that kept track of that sort of thing useless. Surely they wouldn't just internalize Post count?

I'd say the place with the most return users is Offtopic because most of the post in Destiny are one time questions and complaints,then the Desticle returns to its hunting ground to try and find a good game within it.

I joined because I miss my old forum buddies(they probably forgot me).
