There is absolutely zero chance that it's aliens.

They probably found a planet with similar atmospheric composition to the Earth in a star's habitable zone.

We've discovered quite a few in the habitable zone already. Right size and all. Just too far away to do anything about it.
Any life found would leak faster than you could blink so its likely not that.

I know this, but we've yet to find one of which we've been able to confirm the atmosphere is similar.
