Fuck no, WAY too much of the world relies on the Internet, and it's the only way that people can stay current with a majority of the world's events.

Get rid of the internet in the modern word and you pretty much cut off it's thumbs. We use the internet for news, jobs finding jobs and buying things that would be hard to find without it.
