We're already in the runaway environmental effects. In order to even make a dent, you'd need to actually stop every single carbon emission on the planet. Shut down everything. And that wouldn't stop it at this point because it's moving on its own now.So, long story short, we dun goofed, the weather's gonna do some dammicky shit, things are gonna get messy, and it'll be a long fucking time before the weather stabilizes once more. And even then conservative would claim global warming being caused by man as bullshit. They'd partially be right, actually. The deal that everybody forgets with this "caused by man" bullshit is that, go figure, the fucking environment changes. Our world has had a lot of stages of weather over the course of its history. It's never stayed the same.Over the course of thousands of years, the oceans might have rose on their own.The only thing we've had a hand in, is accelerating how fast the change takes place. The whole speal about us causing global warming or climate change is ridiculously overstating and overestimating our abilities to control anything on this planet.I spent a fair amount of time actually reading the report on our effects on Global WarmingWe're doing a lot, and if we keep at it, things could change by up to 4°C by 2100 if we don't try to reduce our emissions (Doesn't sound like much, but that's the global average, places could hit 10°C higher on average)You gotta remember that even if we only account for say, 5% of global greenhouse gas emissions, the Earth was already in equilibrium, recycling whatever got spewed out naturally. Our contributions cause more emissions than the Earth can recycle and so it just stays in the atmosphere, contributing to climate change
