Heard about that did ya. What gets me is the fact that they left something like a six month old kid behind.

I don't understand what the fuck goes through people's head when they sign up to do shit like this. The husband was american and his wife was pakistani I believe. She came all the way over to the states because he brought her over, went through all the various citizenship stuff.

And then after all that, she basically convinced her husband to join her in shooting up a place.

Like, what the fuck.

They had a life, a kid, you name it, and they threw it away for what?

I know I'm a horrible person, but she's another one that needs to be put down.

You're insane if you think their perspective is as legitimate as our own.

That argument was the first thing that came to my mind when I wrote the reply, but I went through with it because of the argument that sinking to their level of action doesn't seem right. They are people, and people like that exist in our societies. Yes, some people won't change their opinions no matter what, and if it comes to it, then I'd be okay with killing them if I'm in a war with them, but I'm sure many of the peeps on the opposite side can be converted to our side. If you're not at least willing to try to reason with them before bombing them, then you're desperate, or emotional.

It was Nietzsche who said
"Beware that, when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster... for when you gaze long into the abyss. The abyss gazes also into you"
I think this quote fits perfectly into this scenario.

We're looking at people beheading others, and cities being attacked, and so we want to do the same to them.

Edit: That sounded a little too idealistic. I said "convert them to our side" as an example. There are other non-violent solutions for the peeps willing to listen.
