Why don't people care about the Biden allegations?

Seemingly only a fraction of people that were outraged about Kavanaugh care about the Biden allegations.

The links describe the very different reactions in media coverage but it can really be extended to everyone. All week I've been seeing progressives described as "privileged" for if they won't support Biden. We'll see if trying to cover this up and basically gaslighting their own voterbase will be a winning strategy.

I think less people are outraged, including Fox News. Because it seems to be the norm now for elected officials to just be sexual abusers. Even if people did complain it’s not like anything would change, not saying people shouldn’t be outraged though. We should always uphold a decency to our politicians.

My opinion is that it's a bit of people thinking it's just par for the course at this point, and a bit of people not wanting to screw any chance Biden might have of beating Trump.

A lot of people do; I’m in a few groups where the left leaning members expressed disillusionment at Sanders withdrawing his campaign and Biden being the Democrat candidate. They pretty much all said they’re just not going to vote, their main reasoning being the allegations.

I don't want to come off as biased towards someone I don't support (no matter how many times I say don't) BUT I cant help but feel the disinterest in Biden's allegations might be somewhat contributed to the obsessive belief of "Orange man bad".

I don't see why people would think it's a hopeless pursuit when so many high profile people have been taken down in recent memory. The issue is clearly that it would be devastating to their preferred candidate's campaign. I'd say it's a combination of cognitive dissonance and straight up dishonesty, but for the media and democrats, it's the latter.

The time will come when the attack ads regarding Biden show up, and the sexual allegations come to the public spotlight. If anything, the ongoing pandemic may be hampering any attempts to attack Biden over his allegations (plus one need only go as far back as Trump's campaign to "even out" these allegations).

Because the DNC and associated media worked hard to force Sanders out of the race, and since they've put all their resources into Biden they can't lose their investment.

It's all a wash of people trying to justify him as the lesser evil or obfuscate the truth (i.e. CNN removing from their website the 1993 episode of Larry King Reade's mother called in to). I stand by the fact that I'm definitely not voting Biden unless there are serious policy concessions, and even then I have to decide if I'm actually okay with voting for a child-sniffing mush-brained rapist/classist.

I was under the impression the funding would come from closing loopholes big companies use to avoid paying taxes altogether. Unless your last name is Bezos you won’t notice a cent of difference in your tax.

Honestly from what I’ve seen of USpol in my news feed, it’s actually the biggest talking point among progressive voters. This is actually a big reason for the disillusion of Sanders dropping out, so I’m not expecting a DNC victory this time round.

Hard to say. It does seem like progressives are taking it seriously and Biden has become very unpopular with them.

It’s just bizarre seeing the blantant double-standard from the more “liberal” side and especially the media.

Plus, I think a lot more people are outraged about it than can be seen. Hollywood and the mainstream media went bonkers during the MeToo movement and during the Kavanaugh situation, but have hardly made a peep in regards to Biden. Since the media isn’t covering it, you aren’t seeing as much of a response on social media either.
