Yeah, the Constitution is what constitutes America--but what constitutes America may not constitute a "perfect union".I don't think anyone would dispute that.

Many people don't accept any new amendments onto the constitution even though it's been changed in the past, and should by all means be changed in the future.
A new amendment just hasn't been needed since the 26th one. Gay marriage may be the next one if it continues to be an issue like it was this year.
We should get rid of the second amendment. It's obsolete, anyway
