I believe it's because he's not in the Conservative Party. He's UKIP (which is useless now that they left I would think). Cameron is stepping down and another from the Conservative Party is coming in.

Pretty much. The Conservative members of parliament shortlist two candidates, and then the 150,000-strong party base picks the winner.

If Boris becomes leader, it's also likely he will call a snap general election in order to obtain a new mandate. So, for all we know, the next PM could be Labour.

Boris Johnson I hope. He wanted to invoke Article 50. Nows the best chance to do it. But it does seem like he is backpedaling from his comments in support of the leave campaign.

He knows politics but I believe Cameron may have destroyed any future for Boris Johnson's political future. Now Boris if he becomes Pm be responsible for instituting Article 50.

Now if England breaks up and the economy decreases, there will be alot of blame going around and Boris will face the brunt of it.

Having a negative growth is scary though,  even I  the 2008 recession Americas economy was still growing.

most of our exports are services, businesses were reducing investments by 30% shown on BBC, they'd probably rather move to an office in frankfurt or dublin and keep doing business than stay based on unpredictable circumstances
