What are your plans for the future?

I dunno if it should go in Serious but I am genuinely curious about what you plan to do, and I figured the Flood would just be joke answers.

Do you want to eventually raise a family of your own, start your own business, maybe travel?

I'm hoping to get a stable income that will allow me to have a nice house somewhere in Wales or Scotland, with a nice view and area for long walks with my partner. I'd love to have kids one day, someone to pass on my infinite wisdom to and raise as my own. They'll probably turn out to be a little shit, but what kids aren't? I just hope the world isn't fucked by then.

Best-case scenario: I get married in the next 3 years. That's it -- everything else is negotiable.

Worst-case scenario: I work and sleep for the remainder of my life, which may very well be limited to 5 years thanks to my depressive tendencies.

Hmm well if everything works out as intended, in about 7 years time I'll be a clinical psychologist.
I'd quite like to work in the NHS as one, because the thought of making someone pull out a chequebook at the end of a session is appalling imo.
Assuming I get to do what I enjoy, I can see that being my career until I kick the bucket. The title might change, the locations and employers and the like but as long as I'm helping people work through their problems I'm pretty sure I'll be content.
If I specialise in anything, complex trauma and personality disorders kinda has my eye.

Home is where you make it, but a nice house in the countryside would be my kind of thing. Pretty much the sort of location I live in now really, a village that isn't too far from the main towns and amenities but far enough away that you don't get any of the drunken peasantry on your doorstep.

Family wise, I have no idea. That's something I'll take as it goes.

My plans are to work and make an honest living. I don't care whether that means becoming manager of the grocery store I work in, a laborer or an office worker. If it's honest work that allows me to live a stable and decent life then I'll do it.

I honestly don't know. I don't like to plan long term. But I know I want to get out of Pa. I have no idea about anything career wise. I'd like to do freelance work as needed. I don't plan on spending my entire life trying to earn a living that I forget to live. I'm not sure about kids yet. I obviously want pets. Sex change is still up in the air depending on if they get uterus transplants working. Surgery is likely for cosmetic reasons. Other than that, I dunno. I just want a simple life of some adventures, y'know, the instagramer dream.

I don't know. And I don't really care. Preferably, it'd be fine if I just dropped on the spot and died. But, since I'm too stubborn to off myself, I have to face up to what's in front of me.

The only thing I've got in the near future, which I was lucky enough to secure, is some land. I could build a home on it. I don't really want to. But that's the logical next step.

I'll need a stable source of income. Time to learn trades. Handyman jack of all trades. Take small jobs, make under the table money.

After that I don't know. I'll see when it comes knocking, if it ever does.

I think Im gonna go back to school for cooking after my career is over, save up what cash Ive got, and maybe open up a resturaunt, then maybe start the family we've wanted for a while once we settle down.

I don't particularily give a shit about money nor a job. But I understand that the unfortunate reality is that I'll need more than what I can generate now in the long run. I don't do well on long jobs. I don't like official jobs either.

Basically I'd just be a contractor. Or even an assistant. But somebody capable of all round work. Small part time jobs is what I'm best at. Give me a shovel and a dump truck of gravel and I'll move it.

Well... Hopefully I can actually begin transitioning at the end of this year/early next year, so that by the time I want to go back to Uni in 2017, I'll actually have my life somewhat under control and won't drop out due to depression and stress again (Also I'll totally be a whole new person yay). Past those two things... I don't really have any set plans. I wanna study Mechatronics Engineering, or something to do with robotics though, since robotics sounds super duper interesting.

Until then, I guess get a job, and save up some money for uni so loans aren't quite so bad. I've been trying for a job, but the one I basically have the person I'm replacing hasn't resigned yet and I'm still waiting to hear back from the other one.

Next year I'll be heading to university on the other side of the country, studying maths and physics, I'm incredibly excited about it even though complex analysis and differential geometry don't get taught until a few years in.
At the same time I'm terribly afraid about making friends - recently just before I graduated the college had a mini festival and I realised just how many people I had spent the past half decade with, but had never once talked to; It's like I saw all the possible future pathways where I could've been a part of their lives and they could've been a part of mine, but I wasn't able to make them a reality. I never want that mistake to happen again and I intend to be the best person I possibly can next year, I want to know the names of everyone I come across.

After that I really want to have my own house with my own land and animals and equipment, and most importantly a loving wife and kids. I still dream about one day walking on the moon but I know for certain that starting my own family and passing on my experiences is something that I can achieve, while the moon is up in the air so to speak. Being a failure as a father is my biggest fear in life but I know I have to take the risk, and try my hardest to succeed.

Hopefully pursue a career in marketing after I graduate. Only really viable option for me that piques my interests. Aiming to move out of the house before 25. Feel like more of a manchild every year I stay at home. Hoping to travel the world during that transitional period too. Marriage and kids are off the cards until at least 30, that's assuming I would still want something like that.

Nothing exciting really, but then again, I've never been a foreseeable and goal orientated kind of person.

I prefer to roll with the punches. Long-term plans lead to expectations, which lead to inevitable disappointment.

I'd like to have a novel written at some point. I have many storylines in mind, and I'm still in the process of making one work. As for now, I'll focus on shorter stories, sharing them with friends, and honing other skills that need honing.

Next semester, I'll be starting all of my required classes for my Astronomy major, and we'll see how it goes. After talking to my adviser, he said that most Astronomy majors that don't go into research become educators, and that's something I'd love to do, because I love to teach people about space and stuff. Grad school doesn't sound like something I want to think about, at least not yet. I certainly don't want to be a researcher.

I have to contact the school of education at my university so that I can sort things out with them, because I really don't know what I need to do to become certified in teaching. I'm gonna call them up once Thanksgiving break is over, and hopefully they can put me in the right direction.

My biggest issue is that I don't know if I'll even be able to handle being an Astronomy major. I guess I'll find out next semester when all of the math gets tossed onto me, and I figure out if it's really a future I see myself as capable of pursuing. If my Astronomy major doesn't work out, I'm not sure what I'll do. But I'm not extremely stressed, because I have plenty of time to explore.
