For the first time in awhile I'm looking forward to our country's future. Will be very interesting if the Democrats get elected in 2016. I know Harper and Obama didn't really get along.

I am happy with the results although I am angry that I could not vote due to me being in  the middle of nowhere since September 8th working on processing plant for a Brion a chinese oil producing company.

I'm literally only a few months off of being able to vote, so I feel your pain, man.

Luckily I convinced some of my older friends who weren't going to vote, to vote in place of me.

Yeah, I was able to vote in the Provincial elections and voted NDP and was kind of happy.

Historically I've always sort of been aligned with the NDP (especially with Layton), but this time around... I dunno. Mulcair seems sharp but a lot of the time I felt like he didn't have a plan for some key economic and environmental issues and simply said "we're different than the other two".

It doesn't help that the Liberals this time around were even further left than the NDP, but I digress.

Hope Trudeau can actually set our country on a great path.

I have high-hopes for him. I want us to return to the U.N. as paragons, like we were under Cretien.

Not flunking out of the Kyoto accord when?

I believe he will address that sometime in January. I know he's going to Paris next month with the Premiers for the Climate Change conference.

Regardless, I fully expect Trudeau-government to get us back on-track and involved with the KA.

I heard today that the new prime minister was elected on a hair basis because the guy who won had the best hair style. However, I was told this by a crazy old american man, but he showed me the article in the paper. Go America for bringing looks into the elections.
