Lol Sugar made a serious thread. Yes this is probably my first ever serious thread. I thought I'd try something new this time so here goes.

I'd like to talk about thigh gaps because I thought by now most people understood that they aren't inherently bad or good.
However just last week I ran into some guy online spewing lies about how girls who have thigh gaps are anorexic and anyone who has one is unhealthy. I also noticed recently that at the same time I saw some women still having insecurities about how their thighs touch.

Now whether or not someone can achieve a thigh gap solely depends on THE SHAPE AND MAKE OF THEIR BODY! Crazy right? Who knew?

This article was pretty useful in illustrating how different body types will have a much easier time having a thigh gap and maintaining a healthy weight while others, it will be very unhealthy and virtually impossible.
Some people have a very difficult time putting on weight whether it's fat or muscle. (Myself being one of them) For these people, a thigh gap is just a natural occurrence. Not because they threw up after every meal or out right starved themselves, but because the way their hips are formed and the way their tendons are attached to their bones. Trying to get rid of their thigh gap, going against how their bodies naturally are, would be as unnatural as a thicker set woman attempting to achieve a thigh gap.

That's really all there is to it. Our bodies have limits and it's silly to set unrealistic and harmful goals because that's just what happens to be "in" these days. Once again, it a one size does not fit all issue which is especially true in this case.

exactly. It would be kinda cool if people realized that we do come in different shapes and sizes and everyone has something different that they're attracted to. That would like eliminate so much pressure to conform to some ideal, if people could just accept who they are.
