Election day is five days away and the candidates have been appearing on CBS-6 News at 7.Over the past several weeks, we’ve heard from the two major party candidates in the race for U.S. Senate, the incumbent Democrat Sen. Mark Warner and his Republican challenger Ed Gillespie .Thursday we heard from Robert Sarvis, the Libertarian candidate. Sarvis had been excluded from debates with Warner and Gillespie because he had not previously polled at least 15%, a barrier that frequently prevents third party candidates from getting the attention of the electorate. He offers his take on some of the contentious issues of the day, including drones, the Affordable Care Act and government regulation.Click on the video player above.
