I just find it convenient that everything we can scientifically prove about the nature of God happens to be written in the Bible.

So, you believe that something as supernatural and transcendent as God can be accurately described in a book with its roots in iron-age Palestine, and that this book's claims, with all its contradictions, can be scientifically verified?

Or, are you saying that what you think happens to be necessary for a God is in the Bible, and the rest of what the Bible says and claims is just fluff?

If he isn't real then how do we have a universe from nothing? According to the laws of physics, our universe shouldn't exist, yet it does. We can only come to the conclusion that there must have been a supernatural act or being able to bypass the laws of physics and create the universe from nothing. The only other possibility is that the laws of physics are wrong, but you'd have to incredibly naive and scientifically illiterate to come to that conclusion. Honestly, you really have to be a complete retard, so you just can't go there. God is the only way, the only scientific way, really.

Myths can be real, though.

I believe in a higher power/being, but I do not follow a faith. I believe that modern religion is foolish and arrogant to believe that their idea of a god is the right one, and that they condemn anyone with a differing vision of this higher being.

Lutheranism resulted from the Protestant Reformation but is in it's owned group. Two other sects devolved from the Reformation including:

Reformed/Calvinist/Presbyterian which also includes Anabaptist, Methodist, Baptist, Adventist

I was too vague, to be honest. I should've asked if Lutherans are the most common Protestants in America. We really don't discriminate between the different sects here in England, seeing as we have a national church.
