So now the IS Caliphate has expanded to Nigeria....

Whoopee.

Though this may give the reason for the US to intervene in favor of the Nigerian Government, which they'd probably welcome since the Nigerian Army can't fight Boko Haram for shit.

Not really, if you've been following what's been going on over the past year, Boko Haram joining IS is pretty expected. Those two groups have more in common than any other terror group in the world. In tactics, function, and aspirations. Boko Haram joining IS is a positive thing if anything, since now there will be far more international support for dealing with Boko Haram than there was over the past 2 years.

Black Africans being subservient and submissive to Arab masters who will no doubt take advantage of them?

Holy fuck it's like a metaphor for the history of Islam itself.
Oh, of course you have no idea what the context of this entire thing is, so you make a wiseass joke.

This merger benefits both organizations a great deal.

Temporarily.

I think everyone knows at this point the hammer will be coming down on IS and that's going to include Boko Haram now.
It greatly benefits both organizations in the short-term. IS gets an expansion in a foreign country to make up for its sustained losses in Syria (and especially Iraq, where they're losing Tikrit right now). And Boko Haram gets access to all of the resources IS has to offer.

Though this could also be interpreted as IS realizing that its days as a government are numbered, and these expansions are meant to legitimize their dissolution as a state and reversion to an insurgency. Albeit a very powerful one.

The international coalition is going to have to go through a great deal of red tape to even touch IS in Nigeria unlike IS in Syria and Iraq, where the governments either requested international aid, or are too unstable to even manage the fight against IS.

Dead as a state, yes.

Gone?

Fuck no.

Though even dead as a state is still debatable on account that their base in Syria isn't in any existential crisis.
