30 states and numerous companies have publically announced that they will comply with the Paris Accords standards, despite Trump's moronic actions. Washington, New York and California (1/5 of the US economy from those three) announced they will form a coalition to meet the goalsx

I think what Trump did was absolutely stupid but this is such a petty thing to do. It's nothing more than a fucking ego-stroke. "Hey guys I know we all think it's stupid that Trump left the Paris Accords but I just want to let you know that we'll always be fighting global warming despite none of you thinking we wouldn't :^)"Quote from: Flee on June 02, 2017, 10:28:06 AMDaily reminder to bless the EU. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2017/jun/02/european-leaders-vow-to-keep-fighting-global-warming-despite-us-withdrawal

That's a double edged sword if I've ever seen one. Even Walmart is for it, and I think they supported Trump during his campaign.
It's almost as if they believe climate change to be a real and substantial threat and were going to continue the fight whether Trump pulled the country out or not.
I find it funny how you always have to throw in a "but" and finger point whenever Trump does something incredibly retarded.
Climate change is a bigger problem for the EU and democrats than terrorism. I'm willing to bet democrats would have no problem killing those that disagree with them if they can achieve their goal.
YouTubePretty terrible video on the subject.

I never said it wasn't. But please continue to act as if I'm downplaying climate change despite that comment being one of the only two fucking posts I made in the thread beforehand and nowhere did I say climate change isn't a problem seriously. QuoteI find it funny how you always have to throw in a "but" and finger point whenever Trump does something incredibly retarded. Please stop. I'm sorry but just because our president is the laughing stock of the world doesn't mean others are exempt from any sort of commentary. It's increasingly annoying how the situation with Trump is so far off the deep end that either I attack him and only him or I'm just scapegoating for him despite the 2:1 ratio in insults towards him. Political ideology isn't as simple as "I either support him and hate everyone else or vice versa" and the sooner you accept that fact the better.
You're taking potshots at the people actually trying to mitigate a serious problem that's going to impact our lives for generations. I have my misgivings with the EU too, but to say they're "ego-stroking" for trying to pick up the slack when the world's biggest polluting country has just announced they're no longer going to be pulling their weight is rather odd. If that's "ego-stroking" then fine, but I'd rather have the EU ego stroke their way to solving a problem rather than them let Trump rock the boat for the rest of us. You say you don't deny the seismic problem of climate change but you have an odd way of conveying it by attacking the people actually trying to minimize the damage.
Quote from: Karjala takaisin on June 02, 2017, 02:43:12 PMDo you think there should be world government to stop the climate change?Objectively that's pretty much the only way, but such a government would have to be so draconian and authoritarian that it would make Kim Jong Un look like Thomas Jefferson. It would never work.
Do you think there should be world government to stop the climate change?
Elaborate on the double edge sword?
