They shut down on their own because it's become a more cost efficient method. Anyone who thinks coal jobs are coming back, which has fallen rapidly over the last decade alone, are stuck in old ways of thinking. The same with factory jobs. Technology is the issue here, and it's the economy that hasn't caught up.

It's also a future that you're only trying to delay the inevitable with. Fight all you want, but much like the factory workers of old, you're gonna find yourself without a job if you don't adapt.
