My mother got pissed off last night when he was droning on about how he knows more than Generals. Former military vet, in for 20 years (father Marine for 24), and she more or less yelled that he's never been in uniform, has never TRIED to be in uniform, and doesn't know shit about ISIS.

The only reason I bring that up is because I imagine a lot military people who hear some rich assholes act like they know more than the people actual trained in that stuff, is probably annoying.

Why does he say that our military is a disaster? We have an insanely high military budget and to top it off we have 19 aircraft carriers, while the other countries which have them are not even close to our amount. We have 10 nuclear ones and 9 non-nuclear ones. Our military is far from being a disaster.

Well, the media doesn't like to portray popular figures like Petraeus and Odierno in good light anymore, and, I mean, every liberal who thinkds the Gulf War was evil pans Schwarzkopf, when was the last time we had a name like Patton or Nimitz or MacArthur, however wrong popular conception of that name was (good ol' doug mac was absolute ass and was given control of the Australian theater to keep him from fucking up anything important)? I mean, someone who really doesn't follow contemporary military strategy, like the vast majority of voters, might just find some kind of agreeable sentiment with Trump there, especially if they think the GWOT has been more or less of a loss.
