I'll go into this more when I get home (getting Chinese food ATM), but the big issue is that the media was expecting turn out levels at a 2008-2012 level.

What we got was turnout more in line with 2004, at least from a preliminary analysis.

It does seem like they put plenty of more focus on minorities and how the other demographics are going to vote. They focus so much on the other details they don't remember what's right in front of them, or they don't care.

I dunno, dewd, I think those were the ones most reluctant to come to Hillary BECAUSE of that reason. Much like Republicans did with Trump though, they simply filed in behind because they thought the other guy was much worse.

Keep in mind these polls are from past elections and data, so they were going off of that. This election Trump has energized people that didn't vote in those other elections, and even people who didn't vote. He had the excitement and X factor. That's why the polls were wrong. Same way Brexit polls were wrong.
