It's pretty ironic that by using the term to describe mundane things rather than... oh, you know. Rape. They are destroying their own argument.

I can see/sympathise with the argument when it's used to describe things like victim blaming (Actual, not just 'she was being idiotic' or 'he walked in front of the bus with headphones on, retard') More like, 'if ya don't want to get raped you should wear a burkha and a niquab.'

Western Society is hardly a rape culture, considering how there is almost universal revulsion for rapists here. Where it seems to be arising from is the date rape/drunk can't consent issue that some people on both sides bicker about. If they are both pissed out of their brains, did they rape each other? I don't think so. If one of them deliberately got the other hammered, drugged them or w/e then yeah I'd say that's rape just the same as surprise butseks. Joking about it isn't, it might be in poor taste but so are jokes about eating dead baby salsa with nachos. Is that symptomatic of infanticide culture?

If you want to see a real rape culture, I believe India can be labelled one without too much dispute given how rampaging bands of wankers seem to just be raping and killing women on the streets/buses/boats/houses with *almost* impunity. Until they get caught then they are hanged, which isn't exactly a bad thing in my book.

A murder can happen out of rage or passion, people can be reformed from that. I'm pretty sure you don't pin someone down and fuck them with a 2x4 because you were angry. They do it once, they'll more than likely do it again and it's not fair to unleash them back on the public.
