ISIS is saying that this is the first in a storm of assaults. Thoughts on that?
Okay beforehand I will say that I am no good with politics and world news at all. What if some of the refugees that came into France were like, ISIS spies or something? There were so many of them it's hard to check them all.Didn't they even say something along those lines a while ago?Just a thought, correct me if I'm being retarded.
Quote from: Winy on November 14, 2015, 01:44:31 PMWhat exactly is it about Islam that makes it seem so more prone to violence? I'm only recently starting to consider the possibility that it's actually not just the crazy people, it's part of the doctrine. It also politicizes itself, which most religions don't do.

The reality is that the open borders made it easy for sympathizers, or even actual members of IS, to hide among the refugees.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Paris attacks were perpetrated by extremists from many different walks of life, like you say.
Is there any news of possible attacks? I saw a thing on Facebook about ISIS marking London, Washington and Rome as future targets, but y'know, Facebook. Any news on that?
What are actual, good sources of information on the debate between whether or not Islam is more violent than other religions?

If ISIS actually has the balls to attack Rome then maybe there actually will be a modern crusade.
They want to draw us into a war. They'll likely succeed in the future.
They would essentially become martyrs to their cause and possibly inspire more extremist groups.
Quote from: ObamaLover69 on November 14, 2015, 03:49:53 PMThey would essentially become martyrs to their cause and possibly inspire more extremist groups. So their end-game is to anger us to kill them so they can meet their God a few decades sooner? Do they expect (and want) to lose this war?
They expect it to further radicalize the Muslim population and fuel extremist groups.
And then what? To my knowledge, the U.S. + it's allies versus ISIS would be a shit-show. We'd win -- easily. 'Fueling more extremists groups' wouldn't seem to work as well if we're absolutely decimating their forces...Unless I'm misunderstanding the situation.
