I've seen only reports supporting this. I mean... it's plausible since he did belly it in. He's immensely lucky, or unlucky depending on how you see it and how officials decide to charge him, but I don't think it's impossible.

If he lives I'm thinking he's going to be charged with crashing the plane. When he was trying that trick he should have known he didn't have enough height or speed to do that trick.

He' might well be charged with the bongistani equivalent of a few counts of manslaughter, considering it definitely seems like pilot error.
I really don't know anything about incidents like this to base a proper prediction on though.

I've heard vintage aerobatic performances are going to be limited to simply straight fly-byes unless the performer is over water now.

Really sucks for you guys. I know I'm getting hyped to see folks like Jerry Wells do some shit in his Bucker Jungmeister at my company's airshow in a couple weeks.

Well i've already been to an airshow down past Brighton on the seven sisters (Eastbourne), that was comprised fully of vintage jets bar a few Helicopters and the Typhoon, the vintage craft tend not to do anything too risky anyways-it sounds like the routine was uncommonly acrobatic for a craft of it's age, so the difference shouldn't be too noticeable.

I actually prefer Farnbourgh anyways, I was there last year on a education/business day; we were there when the British astronaut fellow announced his mission to the ISS and we got a guided tour by FinnMechanica (who fucked with us by trying to clobber us around the head with a cannon mounted on the side of a special-ops gunship).

Oh well, as long as the Vulcan is able to show up and do it's usual, this is it's last year.
